We provide specialist therapeutic support for children and young people who may be struggling with anxiety, low confidence, behavioural changes, school difficulties, or the impact of challenging life experiences.

Our specialist therapeutic practitioners understand how early emotional experiences can shape how a child feels, behaves, and relates to the world around them. Using age-appropriate, trauma-informed approaches grounded in Felt Trauma Therapy™, we help children and young people make sense of their feelings in a safe and supportive way.

Our aim is to help them feel heard, understood, and more emotionally secure, supporting healthier development, stronger relationships, and improved wellbeing.

Our therapeutic team includes qualified therapists holding a minimum Level 4 qualification (or equivalent), alongside trainee practitioners undertaking recognised professional training. Working within recognised professional and ethical frameworks, and supported by regular clinical supervision, they are committed to providing safe, ethical and compassionate care.

The Listening Space

Sometimes children show us they are struggling before they are able to tell us why.

Anxiety, school avoidance, changes in behaviour, low confidence, withdrawal or difficulties with friendships can all be signs that a child is experiencing emotional distress or trying to make sense of difficult experiences.

The Listening Space provides specialist therapeutic support for children and young people aged 8–15 in a safe, welcoming environment. It is designed to give young people the time and space to feel heard, understood and supported before difficulties become more entrenched.

We recognise that talking isn’t always easy. Alongside therapeutic conversation, we use creative, play-based and age-appropriate approaches to help children express feelings and experiences they may not yet have the words for. Support is shaped around the individual child, with a focus on building trust, emotional safety, confidence and resilience.

The Listening Space can support children experiencing anxiety, emotional distress, school avoidance, low self-esteem, difficult relationships or the impact of experiences such as domestic abuse, loss, family change or childhood trauma.
